Change started with us last year...

...when we decided to check out the classes at the Caroline “Lily” Lobozzo Multipurpose Aging Resource Center at the Maplewood YMCA. We thought we were going to have to move into a retirement community, but joining the program helped us gather the information and resources we needed to stay in our home. We've also made lots of new friends through our memoir group and can't wait to go to our book club and photography class.

Aging

While childhood might be the beginning, we know aging is not the end. Our community benefits when older adults maximize their independence and age successfully. Supported by your donations to the Community Fund, United Way is funding Multipurpose Aging Resource Centers to help combat isolation, maintain health and increase awareness for services; Case Management and Support Programs to help older adults remain independent; and Caregiver Support Programs to help those caring for our community’s older adults.
